UKTI FUTURE ENERGY ROADSHOW
21st - 28th May 2010
UK Trade and Investment are running a Future Energy Roadshow for their Commercial Officers from 21st to 28th May 2010, covering renewable and nuclear energies and looking at the opportunities and technologies available in the UK.
Commercial Officers (COs) are a key part of UKTI’s overseas network, based in diplomatic posts around the world. They offer current, detailed knowledge and experience of their local markets. COs specialise in specific sectors, and this delegation of 30 Energy specialists will have access to up to date business opportunities, providing specific advice on the markets they cover from North/South America, Asia, Europe to Australasia (see profiles for further information).
The Roadshow will visit 6 different regions across the UK, stopping in:
• Scotland (Aberdeen)
• London
• South East (Milton Keynes)
• North West (Chester)
• North East (Newcastle-upon-Tyne)
• Yorkshire & Humber (Wakefield)
How can UK companies get involved?
A key part of the Roadshow will be an International Business Exchange (one to one meetings) between COs and UK companies. Taking place in each region on the programme, meetings offer UK companies the benefit of being able to talk directly to an expert on a chosen market, without the time and expense of travelling there.
One to one meetings can enable companies to get practical advice on a specific markets business opportunities, discuss potential in under exploited areas and talk through options for doing business overseas or developing existing relationships.
The International Business Exchange is free of charge, but companies must register via the below link to book an appointment with a CO in their preferred location. Profiles for each Officer will be available soon. Please contact roadshow@uktienergyevents.com or call 0115 947 5666 for further information.
As well as one to one meetings, there will be an exhibition area for UK companies to have a small stand/banner at each location. If you would be interested in taking part, please contact Katherine Coleman on 01664 565083
